What Can Head Start Offer Your Child and Your Family?
Head Start provides your child with activities that help them grow mentally, socially, emotionally, and physically. Head Start staff recognize that as parents, you are the first and most important teachers in your child's life. Involvement and participation in Head Start activities are encouraged and welcomed.

Head Start offers you family support services, and a chance to be involved in activities that can help your whole family. Staff is readily available to assist your family in obtaining free resources in your own community. These resources may include job training, adult education, or health and nutrition education.

Child's Routine In Head Start
Most children who enroll in Head Start attend a full-day center based program. We offer transportation to and from home. When the children arrive at the center, their teachers greet them warmly. Classroom time includes many different activities such as, group time, music, dramatic play, manipulative play, art, food experiences, etc. Each day, they have time to work in a small group with other children and to play outdoors on safe, age-appropriate playground equipment. At lunchtime, children receive a nutritious meal and brush their teeth. All the children are taught to wash their hands before meals, and are encouraged to develop good personal and health habits.
